SAN DIEGO COMIC-CON

Well, it's only a matter of days now.  If you're going to be at Comic-Con and feel so inclined, there's a "Spotlight on Tommy Kovac" panel from 1:30 to 2:15 on Thursday, July 20th in room 9.
     
We'll be driving down to San Diego with a friend on Wednesday morning, and it should be loads of fun.  Barrel of monkeys, etc.  I even have copies of the brand new hot-off-the-copier Library Bonnet #8!  It's true!  Not to mention that SLG will have copies of Autumn #5, which I don't believe has appeared in stores quite yet. 

I'll be signing Wonderland and my other stuff at the SLG booth Thursday through Sunday, along with Sonny Liew, fabulous artiste of Wonderland.
 
There will also be an official "announcement" of a new SLG comic I'm developing with Malaysian artist Leong Wan Kok.  I think "official announcement" means we'll have a postcard or something cool like that.

I met you at the ComicCon in 2001 and you were just terribly nice (though it was the end of the day on Saturday and you seemed so sleepy). I'm looking forward to being able to be like, "I MET TOMMY KOVAC...TWICE!"

I THINK there will be a postcard, but I might be wrong... If there is, I will post a scan of it afterward, so it'll be just like you were there! :)

I picture you sitting silently in a completely black room but for one powerful spotlight trained on your terror-struck visage. Not sure why...

Have fun Tommy! As you know, wish I could be there. :(

We got a little digital camera, so we should be able to take pictures at the con! Something we don't usually do, for some reason. I will totally be terror-struck. We'll miss you guys being there!

I don't know if I'll be able to go to your panel, since I'm driving up on Thursday. but I'll see.

By the Way, if you have i-tunes you should look up Lin's Bin, it is a podcast of a radioshow in Chicago, and download the episode entitled "BEST OF LIN's BIN: Are Librarians Cool?" it is dated 1/18/2006; b/c of ur librarianness I thought you would appreciate it

Thank you, I'll have to check that out! At the con I found a booth for a comic strip about librarians. So exciting! I bought a shirt that says "What happens in the library stays in the library."

Yeah, me too! It was totally fun. I was sorry to miss seeing all you guys over the weekend, too, but we were still worn out from our convention trip, and having a friend visiting. We'll have to catch up later. :)
